Pioneers of PEER podcast is a series dedicated to professionals spearheading sustainable energy delivery initiatives within the electricity sector, hosted by John Kelly.

Pioneers of PEER gives an overview to Performance Excellence in Electricity Renewal, a new sustainable design and rating system at USGBC. Each episode hopes to provide the listener with insight into the electricity sector through the perspective of thought-leaders in the industry.

This week, we present a true pioneer of PEER, the city of Chattanooga, which became the first city in the nation to be PEER Certified. John Kelly speaks with David Wade on how Chattanooga was able to eliminate waste and provide savings for the city and its customers. Mr. Wade elaborates on how the city leadership is changing and the effect it was have on municipal utility operation.
